  • Amanda Prejean, Veterinary Assistant

    In 2009 Amanda moved from Maryland to NC.  Amanda joined the West Market Veterinary team in April, 2022.  She has been working with animals since 2000 and has loved every moment! When she is not working, she enjoys staying busy and spending time with her husband, 4 kids, 4 dogs, and 3 cats.

  • Shelby Johnson, Receptionist

    Shelby joined our team in May of 2020 and supports us as a part time Receptionist. She helps manage our appointments and patient records while answering phones and assisting clients. 

    'My favorite part of this job is meeting all the pets and their families. I also love working with this amazing staff.'

     Shelby's fur family consists of 3 kitties; Poncho, Lefty and Zoe. She enjoys spending her free time with family and her fur babies.

  • Katie, Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

    Katie joined our team in August of 2020. She helps fill in every where we need her at the moment. 

    'My favorite thing about this job is getting to know the pet before their exam and establishing trust with them so they are comforted as I hold them for the doctor.'

     Katie has a foxhound mix, 'Fankie', a black lab mix, 'Blu' (the goddess of destruction) and a black cat, 'Kali.'

  • Alayna Basaldu, Veterinary Assistant

    Alayna joined our team in March of 2021. She assists the doctors and the team in caring for all of your pets when they are in our care. 

    'Being able to meet and help amazing animals is the best part of my job.' 

    Alayna used to have a cat named 'Kit-Kat' but sadly no current pets. Her hobbies include reading, writing stories and being around family and friends.

  • Mason Fell, Veterinary Assistant

    Mason joined us in July of 2018. He works as a veterinary assistant helping in the rooms and also during surgeries. 

    'I love how even after the hardest day of work, you can return home and that stress just melts away due to our pets!'

    Mason grew up with pets his whole life, ranging from reptiles, birds, dogs, and also cats. He loves all types of animals! At home, Mason has 3 ball pythons, 2 cats, a tegu, bearded dragon, and a deaf boxer mix.

  • Brooke Johnson, Veterinary Assistant

    Brooke joined our team in July of 2019. She works as a veterinary Assistant helping the doctors with patient care during exams, treatments, surgeries and boarding. She is one of our Lead Assistants.

    'I couldn't be happier to have my dream job. I've always wanted to work at a Vet since I was little. I LOVE animals.'

    Brooke has 2 cats named Luna and Mia. She is a proud 'Tabby Mom'. She loves to spend time with her kitties and her fiancé in her free time.

  • Kayla Stewart, Veterinary Assistant

    Kayla has been a part of our hospital since April, 2022. She loves helping with all of the animals at the hospital and learning new things. She has 5 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 chickens at home. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and photography.

  • Holley McQuillen, Veterinary Assistant

    Holley moved to High Point from New Jersey in 2015. She has worked in the veterinary industry since 2009. She started working as a kennel attendant and moved up to veterinary assistant. She graduated with an associate degree in General Science from Bergen Community College. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family, as well as her dog.
