Our Staff

  • Laura Robards, Receptionist

    Laura Joined our team in August 2016. She started assisting the doctors in the rooms and taking care of any animals staying at the  hospital during the day. But now she has moved to our front reception area and is now greeting clients, answering phones and making appointments.

      'Animals are my favorite people'

     Her favorite part of her job is meeting interesting people and their pets, but mainly holding puppies. Laura spends her spare time with her family and friends. She enjoys movies, books, drawing and watching football. She has one cat named Church and an elusive outdoor cat named Judge Judy.

  • Erin Mead, Office Manager

    Erin joined us in October of 2007. She keeps track of the inventory, files paperwork, and maintains our social media and websites. She also schedules our lunch and learns and meetings.

    “What I enjoy most about my work is interacting with all of our furry friends each and every day.”

    Erin spends her spare time with her friends and family doing outdoor activities like, running in races, camping and fishing. She likes watching football, and cooking.  She also enjoys taking her two dogs Maddux, a Chocolate Lab and Soldier, an English Bulldog, on walks and swims with her husband Andrew and son Colston.

  • Nikki Simmons, Kennel Assistant

    Nikki has been one of our kennel assistants since December of 2014. She has the joy of taking care of the pets that come to stay with us during weekends and holidays when we are closed. She makes sure that each pet gets the food, water and exercise they need while they are boarding.

    “I like seeing and visiting with all of the different animals that come in each week while their families are out of town”

    She has one dog named Badger that is a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix. While not working at the hospital she loves taking Badger to the dog park, spending time with her son Izaak and watching movies.

  • CiCi Carter, Kennel Assistant

    CiCi Joined us in July 2015. She helps us take care of the animals when they board while we are closed. She takes care of them by letting them out to exercise and gives them food and water.  

    'I love seeing all the new faces each weekend and then also remembering the regulars'

    CiCi shares her home with her dogs Trixie a gray and white Maltese mix and Arkham a Boston Terrier mix. She loves to spend her free time with friends and taking the dogs to the park.

  • Amanda Whyte, Veterinary Assistant

    Amanda has been with us since September 2017. She works to help assist the doctors in the rooms and during surgery. She also helps to keep our kennel area clean and takes care of any boarding pets.

    'I love the joy pets can bring to their owners and families'

    She doesn't have any pets of her own right now but she grew up with cats, dogs and birds. In her free time she loves to spend time with her daughter going camping, to the beach and just enjoying the outdoors.

  • Nala Fairley, Lead Veterinary Assistant and Lab Assistant

    Nala Joined our team in September 2017. She works as a vet assistant helping in the rooms and in the back kennel area. She also assist the doctors with surgeries.

    'I have always had a strong love for animals'

    When Nala is not here at work she enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend and friends. Her longterm goal is to  become and OBGYN. She has a cat named Netty and a Blue pit bull named Tank.
